The Levelland Economic Development Corporation announces plans to attend the world’s largest Agricultural exposition in Tulare, CA USA. The Levelland EDC will be joining the High Ground of Texas once again as the group travels to California’s World AG Expo 2008 in February.
The World AG Expo brings together over 100,000 ag professionals from 67 countries every year. The latest, most innovative ideas in over 280 categories will be on display during the show that is held every year in February. This year’s show is scheduled from February 12-14, 2008 and boasts more than 1600 exhibitors on 2.6 million square feet of show grounds. There is a new Dairy Technology Center showcasing the “Top Five New Dairy Products”, and daily seminars covering irrigation, international trade, dairy profit, and general agricultural topics.
“By attending this show with the High Ground of Texas Levelland is able to leverage marketing dollars to reach a large agriculturally based market,” sites the Levelland Economic Development Chairman, Elgin Conner. “Agriculture is a large part of our economy and as the dairy industry grows in West Texas we want service providers to be aware that from Levelland they can service several dairying regions from a centralized location,” Conner continued. “Those regions of course being Central Texas, Eastern New Mexico, West Texas, Western Kansas, and Eastern Colorado. All of which can be serviced within a day’s drive of Levelland.”
This will be the fifth year for Levelland to join the High Ground of Texas at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, CA. The idea seems to be working as Levelland saw its first fruits from attending the show last year with Dairy Manufacturing company AN-FO Manufacturing beginning operations in the Levelland industrial park in 2007.
