The City of Levelland, Texas, (www.levellandtexas.org) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Finance. The right candidate will join our highly motivated and committed team of professionals working toward our mission of keeping Levelland at the forefront of progress and development on the Texas South Plains.  Minimum requirements include a degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration or other comparable field of study and 5 years accounting/finance/audit experience, preferably in a governmental setting.  Although not required, CPA, CGFO or other professional certification is preferred.  The Director of Finance is responsible for all fiscal operations of the City including all financial accounting, utility billing, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll, and will supervise a staff of four account and payroll clerks.  Levelland utilizes INCODE municipal accounting software and familiarity with INCODE is preferred.  Depending on qualifications and experience the starting salary could range from $50,000 to $70,000, plus excellent benefits package.  The position will remain open until filled.  For additional information, or to submit a resume, contact Beth Walls, Human Resources Director, City of Levelland, P.O.
